About us

The Dutch Subsea Cable Coalition is the place to work together on strengthening the Netherlands’ position regarding landings of fiber-optic sea cables. The Coalition is committed to highlighting and promoting the economic and strategic importance of submarine cable connections and actively explores opportunities to connect to planned sea cable routes, both within Europe and on an intercontinental scale. Additionally, the Coalition focuses on streamlining and optimizing the (permitting) processes related to cable landings in the Netherlands and is a valued participant in collaborations with international consortia.

Objective

The objective of the Dutch Subsea Cable Coalition is to stimulate sea cable landings in the Netherlands, ensuring the country maintains and strengthens its position as one of the world’s largest digital hubs.

Participants

The Dutch Subsea Cable Coalition consists of a broad network of supporters, partners, and key partners. The participating organizations represent digital infrastructure, data centers, Internet Exchanges, research and innovation, government, and regional administration—all working towards a future-proof digital infrastructure. These parties collaborate to enhance the Netherlands’ position as an international hub and to drive innovation in submarine connectivity. Through joint efforts, the coalition not only fosters economic growth but also safeguards the Netherlands’ digital sovereignty.

ECP

ECP facilitates collaboration between coalition partners in a secretarial and coordinating role, providing project support, communication, and coordination activities.
