Staying Digitally Connected: Announcement New Subsea Cable Along the Netherlands

We can hardly imagine our society without the internet. From videocalls at work and conducting business online to navigating with digital maps or gaming in your free time, a reliable internet connection is essential for almost everything these days. However, these robust connections don’t happen by themselves. The installation  and maintenance of subsea data cables play a crucial role in our digital infrastructure.

Today marks the announcement of an important initiative: The IOEMA project, a subsea data cable set to pass through the Netherlands. The launch of this initiative took place at the SubmarineNetworks EMEA Conference in London. The Dutch Subsea Cable Coalition is also present at the conference, where Ambassador Martin Prins delivered a presentation. “We are pleased with the launch of the IOEMA Project. With the Dutch Subsea Cable Coalition, we will continue to contribute to making the landing in the Netherlands a success,” Martin said.

At the Submarine Networks event, the Subsea Cable Coalition is present to showcase itself and inform various parties about the coalition and the opportunities it offers for cable landings in the Netherlands.
